Soumya Sengupta
Soumya Sengupta is a matured hospitality professional from Kolkata, India, who started his career in Park Group Of Hotels after passing out from IHM Kolkata.
He has served for over 22 years in some of the renowned hotel corporations such as: Park, Sarovar Hotels, Peerless Inn Kolkata, Sinclairs Hotels,Intourist Group, Associate Hospitality Division Of Hindustan Times and Ambuja Neotia.
Soumya participated and lead several openings and major refurbishments, he also gained experience in Mall Development and Management, serviced apartment as well as Resorts, city hotels and stand alone restaurants concepts.
Becoming General Manager before the age of Thirty One, he has developed strong managerial skills, leading by example on the floor and coaching his executives.
Bearing a positive outlook in life, and favour for his chosen profession, he has received various commendations for his works, becoming an inspiration to his fellow hoteliers.
Soumya has Conducted Training Work Shop as Guest Faculty on behalf of HRAEI held at IHMCTAN- Kolkata.
Performed the responsibility as an External Examiner ( Appointed by NATIONAL COUNCIL PUSA, DELHI) to evaluate the students of IHMCTAN-Kolkata several times.
In his last assignment, Soumya was taking care of the HR and Training cell for the Hospitality Division of Ambuja Realty.
Soumya speaks English, Bengali, Hindi, Oriya and Assamese fluently and is fair in using French in his work.
Chef Debishankar Chanda
Chef Debishankar Chanda is an IHM Kolkata alumnus and have completed his Post Graduation in Kitchen Management Programme from Oberoi Centre of Learning & Development (OCLD). Apart from being an experienced culinarian Chef Chanda has been actively involved in grooming the budding chefs and young professionals.
During his professional journey Chef Chanda had worked in various properties of Oberoi Hotels & Resorts like The Oberoi Bangalore, The Oberoi New Delhi, The Oberoi Rajvilas, The Oberoi Grand Kolkata & many more and also having an International experience as he was engaged with Carnival Cruise Lines, Florida, United States of America
In his professional assignment with the Oberoi Grand Kolkata where Chef Chanda was in - charge of the La - Terrasse, which was awarded as the best All Day Dining from Times Food Award.
Chef Chanda is not only a Certified Departmental Trainer from the Oberoi group of hotels & resorts but have also attended Wine Training Session by Sopexa.
Chef Chanda’s dynamic & leadership was engaged as he was in charge of nine Food & Beverage Outlets at the Carnival Cruise Lines. Following his core operations Chef Chanda is also a Certified Train the Trainer for the Qualified People.
Chef Chanda regularly writes Food Columns for various Food Journals & periodicals.
Chef Chanda is a prestigious member of World Chef Choice Federations which shares ideas & concepts of the Culinary World.
At present, Chef Chanda works with many restaurants & cloud kitchens as Consulted Chef where he helps to construct the operations along with Menu Curation, Plate Presentation and Food Portioning and Wastage Management. Chef Chanda also conducts webinars exhibiting his culinary skills and conducting live interactive culinary shows.
